Superbowl 2010!

Try this party idea.  Here is a change of pace from the usual Buffalo Wings that you find at many parties.  These skinny chicken legs are lower in carbohydrates because you don’t have the sugar in a sauce, just plain old fashioned spices with a sprinkle of my favorite ingredient-cheese.

  • 4 lbs of chicken wings and drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • 1 tablespon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preheat oven to 350

  1. Combine Parmesan cheese and parsley, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Line shallow baking pan with foil.
  3. Melt the butter in a shallow bowl  in microwave on half power, or in a pan
  4. Dip drumsticks in butter, roll in cheese and seasoning mixture, and place on foil lined pan.
  5. Bake for 1 hour.

Yields about 50 pieces.  trace of carbohydrates, and 4 grams of protein.
