Get the Skinny You Power

Take Me as I Am!

I love being a boomer.  Took me many years to be able to say the above words and really mean it.  I have a friend from New York, that has been that way all her life.  I envy her.  I also learned from her. (She also learned from me to mellow out a bit, LOL).

Not Skinny?

As I reconnect on Face-book with my blast from the past, I sometimes get apologies or messages of regrets from friends about their weight not being skinny.  Let me just say right now, I don’t give a rat’s butt.  When I put this site together, I thought about how to bring ideas for slimming together in a fun fresh way, while maintaining that nobody needs to obsess about it.  Use these ideas to make yourself feel better physically.  If you are able to lose just a few pounds and that allows you to do some activity without huffing and puffing like before, then kudos to you!

Am I Skinny?

No, not by Hollywood standards.  Thank you very much.  I’m a real person and have given up on comparing myself to everyone else.  I really don’t want to post pics because I feel that is a turn off for people who may just be starting to change.  Those celebrity bods take a lot of time, money, starving and barfing, (and sometimes drugs) and that is not what we are about here.  I spent my whole 4 years in college miserable because I felt I could not get my body looking like Christy Brinkley. Look back at those pics and I now realize, my bod looked pretty close to hers at the time.

I was Mentally Fat!

Not physically fat.  there is a big difference.  So I started to gain weight according to my mental picture. Over the next 25 years I yo-yoed my way through life.  How ridiculous!  I’m slimmer now, but, and this is a little embarrassing, a little flabby. Back injury did not help that…rotator cuff problems did not help either.  So now you have my excuses.  The ones that I aim to drop this year.

Compete for the Perfect Body with Yourself, Not Others.

You have a much better chance of winning! There is chaos all over this world and intertwined in the fabric of our lives.  So I say…let’s just stop it.  All of it.  Let’s just let go of all the nonsense worries and get control of our own will-power.

Get Control of Your Personal Power.

It is being sapped left and right by financial, political, social, and media venues.  What’s left…a beat up tired person.  Too tired to care about how we feel because we are so busy playing the game.

Simplify Your Life

Take back control, think of the earth, think of yourself as if you had to start over, by yourself, with little or nothing. Adopt the “I really don’t need this”  or better yet, “I really don’t want this”  toward all the frivolous “stuff” that is sucking your wallets, and fattening your butts, and breaking your hearts.

Who loves ya, baby!
