Low Carb Party Idea

Ya, I know what you are thinking…this is what people with no imagination bring to a party.  Smart people. How often have you been to a party where there were any deviled eggs left at the end of the night.  Everybody likes them.  You can eat quite a few and not feel guilty…good source of protein.

Low carbohydrate dieters

could keep a unch in the fridge for that salty craving snack to keep your low carb diet working.  Don’t forget to check out the alternate variations.

  • 12 hard boiled eggs
  • 10 heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 4 tespoons of spicy brown or Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teasoon salt or salt substitute
  • Paprika
  1. Slice the eggs in half after they have cooled and remove the yolks and keep yolks in a bowl
  2. Mash the yolks with a fork.  Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, and salt and mix until creamy
  3. Spoon mixture back into the empty egg whites.
  4. Sprinkle with Paprika

24 halves with only a trace of carboydrates and 3 grams of protein.

Variations: get creative with your egg slimmers.

  • Add horseradish mustard and some cajun spices.
  • Add chopped ham
  • Curry your flavor with a teaspoon of curry, grushed garlic and minced scallion.
  • Add some tobasco
  • How about 2 tablespoons of sour cream, 1/4 cup of salmon, horseradish and minced onions.

Save the bowl!
Mush all the yolk ingredients in a plastic bag till well combined and smooth with your hands (gets rid of frustration too–take that– squish squish) cut off a corner and pipe back into whites — no clean up and your calm self is back in control!
