About
Robin was a Flight Attendant for 20 years at a major US Airline Carrier. When she first wanted to become a flight attendant, her father used his connections to get her an interview at Western Airlines. Unfortunately the first thing they did was weigh her, she was 25 lbs overweight, and was sent home before the interview process even began.
Devastated, she gave up her dream of world travel and did other things such as working at a casino, selling Apple computers, multilevel marketing, interior decorating, Real Estate Commercial Loans, etc.
A varied career.
She still wanted her dream of travel to come true, so she tried applying to all the airlines again after losing some weight. This time she squeaked by during the weigh in, however her battle with managing her weight was far from over. The airline business at that time still had yearly weigh-ins and if the flight attendant did not pass, s/he was put on probation and could eventually be fired.
Twenty years later, the author retired from the travel business and ironically has been at her most stable weight for the longest time in her life. At 5′6″ she weighs approximately 128 lbs give or take a few during holidays. Though Hollywood standards would not label her as skinny, she is quite happy with her shape. She does not consider compliments about her weight important anymore, but they are a reminder that she has finally reached her weight goal and with a little attention can easily maintain it without much effort.
Instead of worrying about her weight, she now has time to write articles and blogs that help others to lose weight, for good!
